A Platter of Food

We ordered this food a few weeks ago when we dined at Bigby's Café. Unfortunately, I forgot what it's called. This platter is good for 2-3 persons so hubby, me and kids shared this meal. We also ordered another viand but I'll share the other foods in my next food blog :-)

By the way, what you can see in this platter are grilled pork, crispy onions rings, fried rice and baguio beans.

A Glass of Kinilaw

I often dined at Bigby's Café but I never ordered Kinilaw. They are more popular with steaks and kebob seafoods and some desserts but not so with our native food. But my husband ordered the food for he just felt like it. Imagine my surprise when this Kinilaw was served to us:

I guess they were just trying to be unique so they came up with this presentation. But hubby and I were quite disappointed with the taste. We ate only a few. I guess they'd better stick with kebobs, steaks and desserts :D

Roadhouse Delicacy

We went malling yesterday afternoon and then we dined at Roadhouse. We love eating there as their food tasted good. We ordered Chopseuy, Baby back ribs and a grilled fish but I forgot to take pictures on them. I guess I was that hungry for I only remembered taking a pic after I was fully sated :-)

Our dessert was their Road house Delicacy. As you can see in the picture, there's an ice cream topped with a cherry, buko pandan, mango and with chocolate toppings. It tasted good that we left the place happy. We also gave tip to the waiter who served us for his good service.

Valentine Food

We didn't go out last Valentine's day but just ordered food from the restaurant. The weather was not that good so we decided to stay home. We don't want to go thru all the hassles especially that we have 2 kids ages 8 and 1 so home was the best place for us to celebrate. Sharing to you the food that we ordered:

Beef Steak

Even though this food was quite expensive, still, we bought this food from Dynasty Court restaurant on my birthday. Filipino Beef Steak tasted so yummy that I almost forgot who I was, lol.

Should there be another party at home, this beef steak will always be on top of my list ;-)

Family Portrait Cake

I celebrated my birthday last January 12 (Thursday) with a simple dinner at home with family and relatives. Hubby and I also celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on that day. Time indeed flies so fast for it seems like yesterday when we tried to slice our cake together...

Our bittersweet 10 years was blessed with 2 beautiful kids, Chloe and Zoe. They were the precious gifts that I received from God♥

On my birthday, I only wish to have a beautiful cake so I contacted my baker friend, Zen of Isabel's Confections. My mom used to buy me cakes at Goldilocks but this time, I told her that a friend will make me a personalized cake. However, she still bought a small cake as per Chloe's instructions (shakes head)...

Going back to Zen, I only asked her 2 days prior to my birthday and glad that she accepted it. We came up with a photocake and I was so happy with the result! See pics below:

Pancit sa Bilao

A week after the typhoon hit our city, it was already Christmas Day. I was in no mood to celebrate a few days before Christmas but my husband told me that we should as he was thankful that his family was alive and complete even though their house was damaged.

I've realized that he was right, so we decided to order food from the restaurant (to lessen the hassles) and thank the Lord for the chance to celebrate Christmas with our family.

Shown in this picture was the Pancit sa Bilao for long life. This was ordered from Dear Manok and the taste was superb. Other foods we had were ordered at the restaurant and the desserts were given by family & friends of my in-laws. Have a great Sunday everyone!

I took a picture of this Lomi at Sunburst a few years ago and now, I'm yearning to eat it. Unfortunately, Sunburst already closed so all I have to now is imagine eating this Lomi and their yummy chicken...

German Franks Hotdog

This was our snacks this afternoon. German Franks hot dog with mayo and ketchup in a bread bun was prepared by my husband. We ate our snacks while watching TV on a lazy Sunday afternoon :-) The bread was yummy and it satisfied our hunger.

Baby Back Ribs

Baby back ribs from P. Joe's Diner is one of my favorite foods. I love the taste and how they cooked it was superb! Even my mom loved it! I took a picture on my favorite meal 3 weeks ago.

We were supposed to have dinner at P Joe's this evening but we were so surprised to see an empty space. We don't know if they closed or they moved to another area of the mall. I just hope they are still there. I will surely miss eating this baby back ribs if I will not be seeing them there. And I'm sure my daughter will miss them since she's a big fan for their sizzling squid!

P Joe's Best Sampler

We had our lunch at P Joe's yesterday and one of our menus was their P Joe's Best Sampler. It has mozzarella sticks, bacon and cheese baked potato and tender chicken fingers. It tasted so good that's why we kept coming back to this diner.

It was my brother who ordered this Special Halo-halo at Mom's Corner but he let me try it. It was indeed yummy and when I came back to that place again, I ordered this yummy delight.

YS: Do Nuts

My brother, who is based in Manila, came home last July and brought these Doughnuts from Go Nut Do Nuts. I found the Pooh design cute and there was even a mickey mouse doughnut on the other box. I've to admit I'm not so fond of sweets but I was able to consume 2 of these doughnuts while I was drinking my coffee =)

Yummy Sunday: Sans Rival Cake

For my Yummy Sunday entry this week, I'll be featuring here my birthday/anniversary cake that was given to me by my mom last January 12, 2011. This is a Sans Rival cake from Goldilocks and it tasted really good. I've tried this one before from another confectionery shop but it was so super sweet I only ate 1/8th of it. I thanked my mom for always bringing me a cake on my birthdays =)

Something Fishy

Are your menus for Christmas Eve ready? I definitely go for fish and some pastries. However, preparation takes a lot of time especially if you don't have the right equipment and ingredients. I thought of a relative who owns a spyderco spyderhawk knife. In just a few seconds, he was finished preparing the fish and he grilled it right away. Perhaps I'll borrow it from him just for 1 day.

I love to eat at Shakey's and I usually ordered their Bunch of Lunch meal. My daughter will just order single chicken with rice but what usually happen was, she always ended eating up my pizza, my garlic bread and sometimes, my spaghetti :D

I love the taste of their garlic bread that I sometimes ordered for more. My hubby likes to order his meal with Caesar's salad.. My Yummy Sunday entry for this week is still about our Valentine treat. My husband took me and my daughter for lunch at Roadhouse Cafe, SM. We had a sumptuous meal but I forgot to take a picture of our main course :) But when our dessert was served, my little girl simply couldn't take her eyes off the sweet treat. It was called Roadhouse Delight and it was indeed tasty!

Yummy Sunday: Valentine Cake

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! I should've posted my entry earlier but was busy doing other things... plus - I overslept this afternoon! hehehe...

Anyway, we took our lunch at Roadhouse, SM and did the grocery afterwards. My husband also bought a cake from Bigby's to serve as our dessert --- at home :D We arrived home past 4pm and I was really tired and drowsy. My daughter and I took an afternoon nap but we woke up instead around 6:45pm! My husband decided to cook dinner for us (I requested, hehe) and ate dinner kinda late.
