The Nutcracker Ballet Show

Chloe joined The Nutcracker Ballet show last December 18, 2011. It was held at Rodelsa Hall at Liceo. If you can see her poses in this pictures, well, she's really good in projecting. However, her dance movement still needs improvement, hehe. We, her family, were all out support on her. She likes to dance and she likes to be on the stage, so, why should we contradict her? hehe. We can never tell what the future may bring on her ;-)

Zoe Made My Day

Chloe had her ballet rehearsal yesterday at 1 pm and it took them several hours to finish. They were preparing for their upcoming Nutcracker presentation for next Sunday. Their rehearsal ended at 6:30 pm where hubby was calling me to hurry up as he wanted to pay his bills at the store that would close at 7pm. I told him to prepare including the baby (they were left home). He said he would only go to a nearby store and be out for a very short while, so I said that we would go with him even just for a joy-ride.

Chloe changed her clothes inside the car while I picked daddy & baby. Zoe changed to her 'walking clothes' but hubby did not prepare her bag as he said we would be out for a short while. Usually, we always brought Zoe's stroller, bag with clothes, diaper, milk & bottle, wipes and rubber sheet. But yesterday, we did not bring any. She didn't even wear her shoes!

Along the way, hubby realized that he would not be able to reach the store on time. The mere fact that we have to pass by a heavily traffic road for there was a night Café at the heart of the city. Then, he suddenly thought of going to the mall so he changed direction. Chloe was excited as she wanted to go to that mall and see some toys (halleer!). So, off we went. But hubby said that we would just wait for him inside the car while he pay. Chloe protested, and so did I. Besides, there were plenty of cars at the parking lot and I don't feel safe. I decided to buy Zoe a new pair of shoes at the mall.

As hubby went to pay, the kids and I went to shoes section when I suddenly smelled a foul odor. I asked Chloe if she was the one who did it but she denied. Uh-oh, I said to myself. Not now, not this time!!

So, I peep on Zoe's behind and found 'something'. What a what! She just made my day! She didn't do this at the mall but why now?! I didn't bring her bag! Nothing at all! Good thing we were at the department store where they also have a Comfort Room. But prior to that, I hurriedly went to the infant section with the kids. I told Chloe to help me get some items like diaper, wipes and rubber sheet. Good thing she's quite old enough to understand. I gave her money to pay at the counter as I don't want others to smell Zoe's you-know-what! Chloe then told me that I should also buy Zoe a new stroller ~ again, hello! (slaps forehead)

When hubby found us, I told him about our current situation. He was amused. I let him carry my bag and asked Chloe to go with me inside the comfort room where I will clean Zoe's bah-hind! Good thing there was a nappy changer inside the mall and their CR was not dirty. I got relieved after I cleaned her up. She really made my day!

While there, we decided to buy her a not so expensive shoes but the one I bought was quite nice to see. After I paid, I let her wore it and made her walk as she was quite heavy to carry. But she didn't make another move after doing some two steps. I've realized I bought shoes that squeaked. So, I carried her and stopped near the toy section. It was only that time that she tried to walk when she saw Mickey Mouse stuff toy, not minding her squeaking shoes anymore. Hmm, I'm planning to buy that toy next week as her Christmas gift.

We didn't stay long in there so hubby just bought food from KFC. While waiting, Chloe ate french fries from potato corner while Zoe was busy looking some toys and other items at the mall. We stayed there for less than an hour then went home. So much had happened for so little time, eh?

Ballet Show at SM

Chloe's ballet school had a show last October 9, 2011 held at SM Atrium. She was very excited and very much looking forward to join the dance.

I enrolled Chloe to a ballet school last April 2011. She was not a born dancer but thru practice, I guess she will be able to dance gracefully. She wanted to enroll in Hula Dance but later changed her mind to ballet since the school was also offering Hawaiian/ Tahitian Dance, which happened to be her favorite dance :).. Sharing to you some of the pictures taken during the program:

I love being a mommy to these kids. Someday, baby Zoe can join her Ate to dance on the stage and I'm sure, the stage mommy will always be there to support :D

Mommy's Hobby

I am joining this week's Mommy Moment's meme and it's all about mommy's hobbies.

So, what is my hobby? You wanna know?

1. I'm into singing.

It's my hobby but I don't sing often now. I guess I'll pass it on to my daughter who is musically-inclined. I joined Glee Club in college and I loved the experience! My voice belongs to Soprano 1. I often got invited to sing on weddings (",)

2. I play guitar.

I'm not really that good but at least I know how to read the chords, strum and sing away. My hubby and brothers were the ones good in guitar. They used to have their own bands in their heydays :-) I play the guitar when I heard a nice music on the radio and tried to practice it.

3. I love reading books

It's my favorite past time. I got hooked on Sidney Sheldon Books, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, Rick Riordan Books (Percy Jackson & the Kane Chronicles), the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare, Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and so on and so forth. But am not a sucker for love stories that's why Nicolas Sparks is at the bottom part of my list (sorry to his fans).

4. Blogging

I guess a lot of us falls into this category. Since I became a stay at home mom, blogging became a hobby. I just love to write anything under the sun =)

Mommy Moments: Fashion Tips

I'm finally joining Mommy Moments this time after so many weeks of absences. Thank you mommy Chris for sending me the link coz I really had a problem opening your great blog last time I check it...

So, here it is. This week's theme is about Fashion Tips. I am no fashionista but my eldest daughter is. Chloe likes to dress up and strikes a pose anywhere. Mind you, she's not camera-shy and below are the proof :-)

Mommy Moments: Preggy Tales

Hello Mommies! It's Friday once again and let's share our preggy tales. I got pregnant with Chloe 9 months after I got married. I found myself lucky for I didn't experience morning sickness and I don't even crave any food (except when I attended a party that I expect them to serve us lechon, hehe).

But when I was six months pregnant, I got sick with Chicken Pox. My world turned upside side for a moment that I cried on the way to the hospital. Fortunately, I was on my second trimester that the doctor said the baby was safe. It would have been dangerous for 1st or last term of pregnancy.

I was 6months pregnant in here. Enjoying fresh air at Duka Bay after I quarantined myself at home when I had chicken pox.

And on July 18, 2003, I gave birth to Chloe Alexandra, 7.6 lbs, via C/S. I was hoping for a normal delivery but she was too big for my cervix to pass and my labor didn't progress. The pain was excruciating that I wasn't ashamed anymore to scream at the top of my lungs. Problem was, I only had 2-3 cm progress and my bag of water didn't even rupture. I had an emergency C/S and believe me when I say this, the pain was only 1/16th compared to my labor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On my 2nd pregnancy, I promised myself I will not go on labor anymore. My mind was fixed to have my second baby delivered via C/S. It was expensive but I don't want to have traumatic experience anymore. I still didn't have any morning sickness, no craving but my back was painful. And on my 5th month, I had spotting and when I had an ultrasound, it was found out I had placenta previa marginalis. I was advised on strict bed rest with bathroom privileges. Luckily, when the baby turned her position on the 7th month, I was safe but still took extra precaution.
7 months preggy me @ Pryce Plaza Hotel celebrating Mother's Day
I gave birth to Zoe Ysabella, 6.9 lbs, on July 12, 2010 via C/S. I've experienced the pain this time especially when the pain reliever started to wear off. My feet swelled few days after I gave birth that I was given lasix to take by my OB Gyne.
But despite all these uncomfortable experiences, I was very happy to see my 2 angels especially when I held them in my arms. I was thankful that both my girls were healthy, normal and safe and that was all I prayed for. Anything to share? Join us at
Whoa! I thought it's still Thursday that I almost forgot to post my MM entry. For this week, the theme is about our latest family picture.
Mommy Moments: New Achievements
mommy moments
It's been a long while I haven't join Mommy Moments every Friday. I used to post my entry in my other blog but now I decided to post it here at Cookie's Corner. This week's theme is about New Achievement, so, if you wish to join, visit The Mommy Journey Blog to learn the mechanics.
This is Chloe's report card. I got this from her class adviser last week. I'm glad that Chloe has maintained her grades up to the third quarter. And right are now, they are on their fourth quarter and their lesson is quite complex already. But I don't really put pressure on my her. I only let her study if there's a long test or quarterly exam and if there's none, I will let her play, watch DVD shows or use the computer... As long as she complied all the requirements and pass her subjects, I'll be grateful for it.
But Chloe gave me more than I expected. And I'm so proud of what she has achieved. She don't even ask for a reward. She will be happy to see our happy faces. But of course I want to reward her for the effort. It may not be expensive but only a simple treat. Mind you, she'll be very happy if I buy her french fries at the Potato Corner, hehe. If not, I buy her books that she likes at Booksale because she is really fond of reading.
