S&R Membership Shopping is Finally in Cagayan de Oro!

The much talked about S&R Membership Shopping finally opened here in Cagayan de Oro last July 28, 2016. It is located at Zone 5, Barangay Kauswagan, Butuan-CDO-Iligan Road, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. S&R is described as a treasure hunt of shopping values but you can only enjoy these if you are a member of their establishment.

There are 2 types of membership cards:
  • Gold Membership - available to individuals 18 years old and above Membership fee is P700, valid for 12 months from the date of enrollment of primary cardholder. Gold member may add one extension card at P400 fee.
  • Business Membership - available to business owners and managers; allows the purchase of products for business, personal and resale use. It costs P900 with one (1) free add-on card, valid for 12 months from the date of enrollment of primary cardholder. You can add 3 additional cardholders to existing business membership account.
Once you are a member of S&R, you can enjoy a lot of benefits and perks not only in Cagayan de Oro but to all S&R branches. You also get to enjoy exclusive deals and discounts including imported items. Also, when you sign up for membership, they will give you the value coupon booklet with more than 65,000 in shopping values.

Prior to their opening, S&R invited members from the media and I was fortunate to be a part of it. We were given a tour of the site by the VP for Operations, Mr. Greg Keyer. After which, we had a brief press conference.

I bet some of you already visited S&R but to some of you who did not go there yet, let me show you a picture video I made. I hope this will help you decide which items to buy when you are going to shop at S&R.
My friend from Ozamiz City went shopping at S&R last weekend and told her to send me pics of some stuff she bought. She sent me this pic instead, just 2 carts full of goodies! She said she will shop for more and hope we'll see each other at S&R when she comes back :-)

And oh, by the way, did it ever occur to your mind what S&R stands for? I was thinking it was all about Shop and Retail but I know it was not correct. So I googled it and found the answer. It actually stands for the name of the founder: Sol and Robert Price, founders of the Price Club, which has since merged with Costco. Costco is actually a part owner of S&R. So there, now we know ;-)

Have Fun Shopping guys!
Yours truly at S&R

Great Talent!

Sharing to you a video of a 7 year old kid who wowed the crowd with her talent, Belly Dancing. Nicknamed Angel, this girl happen to be the classmate of my daughter, Chloe, and all the people here in our hometown was proud of her. Pilipinas Got Talent is still ongoing and I'm proud to say that we have a representative here in Cagayan de Oro City. I am so looking forward for Angel's next TV appearance. Wish she will make it on PGT's grand finals!

Chloe's First Piano Recital

Last May 30, 2010, my daughter Chloe had her first piano recital. All of us were excited to her play and Chloe, of course, loves to be on the stage, hehe. I'm glad she's not timid like me when I was her age. Sharing to you the video of Chloe while she played the Swans on the Lake and The Man in the Moon. To Chloe Alexandra, keep it up! We're proud of you and we will always support you! Love yah!

Chloe Sings Love Story

This video was recorded during Chloe's Halloween fun day held last October 27, 2009 at their school. I posted 2 videos here because her teacher requested that she sing it again as the microphone didn't sound good on the first take. However, on the second video, the crowd was already noisy but her voice was loud and clear. And some of the kids joined Chloe on the stage, too, as they danced to the tune of Taylor Swift's Love Story.

2nd take: "..It's a Love Stooory, baby, just say yes..."

1st take: Tinker Bell Chloe just love to sing ;-)

The Climb

I've heard a lot of Miley Cyrus' songs but never really was a fan of her. Not that I dislike this girl but guess I just don't know anything about her - until recently ;-)

Actually, my daughter knew a lot of songs and dance steps from Hannah Montana music because they practiced it at school for their programs.

But I've learned to appreciate Miley's music lately and I particularly like The Climb. It has a nice meaning, too. I guess this girl has a long way to go - but hopefully, she won't end up another one of Hollywood's primadonna stars. Here's The Climb for you. Enjoy the music!

Whatta Week!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who dropped by and left comments on my site. Thanks also for your warm wishes on my birthday and on our wedding anniversary. Despite the fact that the weather was rather bad this week (it rained non-stop and parts of the town were flooded), it was really nice to hear from friends and your greetings were one of the best gifts I received that day. After I did my 8-hour duty at the hospital on Monday, I had a terrible migraine. When I arrived home, I took a shower and went straight to bed to rest. My mom bought me a cake (because Chloe was expecting a cake since she knew it was my birthday!) and my husband bought additional viands and we had a typical dinner at home. Actually, my husband and I decided to celebrate it on a weekend with both our families. But when Saturday came, due to some circumstances, we ended up having dinner in some restaurant with only the 3 of us ;)

Chloe sang a Birthday Song to me! I love you very much, Chloe!

And here's the week-ender, the birth of my nephew, Clark Ken. It's my older brother Kenneth's 1st baby. I posted last December that my sister-in-law, Anna, was hospitalized but, thank God, she and the baby were safe. Last January 16, Anna gave birth via C/S since the amniotic fluid was already about 5cc. Anyway, what's important was they were both safe and the baby was perfectly healthy. Welcome to the world, baby Clark!
