Gift-Giving

We went to the mall this late afternoon for a last minute shopping. I've realized that there were some kids I missed in giving gifts last Christmas and I'm trying to make it up on New Year's Day. I didn't bother buying gifts to kids I only see once in a blue moon. Although before, I used to go to my god-children's house and personally gave them their gifts. But it's different now. I've no time to go out and I don't know where some of these kids are currently living. Besides, it's hard to think what to give them now for they are already grown-ups. They might find my gifts too childish...

I love to buy and give gifts and that's a fact. Sometimes, I bought things earlier and stock them in my cabinet so that I won't have a hard time thinking what to buy during Christmas day. But there were some items that were not given coz I don't know where to give it. I just informed the parents about the gifts but if we don't get to see each other, then the gift will remain in my cabinet...

To let you know, I have more than a dozen godchildren and most of them are males and only 3 are females... I've to include my husband's godchildren and I think there are only 4 of them. And aside from them, my husband and I have nieces and nephews so we've to give them gifts, too. And oh, I forgot about my own 2 kids! They are also included on my list so just imagine how I would look like after I'm done buying gifts for all them :-)

husbands gift

Written by Sonny Quinn

I have racked my brain for days trying to decide what I am going to get everyone in my family for Christmas. Usually I don’t have gift block, but this year has been different. I have had the worst time trying to figure out what I am going to get my husband. He literally has everything. I decided that I was going to get my mom and my sister those little work out ipods. They are called the Shuffle because they are so little and shuffle the songs. They are both into working out and I think that they will love them. I am going to get my dad a deer camera to put up at the farm so that he can watch the deer movement. After a lot of thought and consideration, I think that I am going to get my husband direct tv fairborn. I know that he loves football and being able to have a lot of channels to watch football in HD will be a gift that keeps giving. Now I just have to figure out how to get it installed without him knowing!

My New Phone (",)

My husband bought me a new phone, it's a Samsung Galaxy Ace android phone but I don't really know if it offers great features. I had been using my Nokia (N70) phone for over 4 years (5 yrs comes January) and so far, I didn't encounter any problems. Well, actually the camera is not functioning anymore but that doesn't matter with me. What is important is that I can call and text. And oh, sometimes my N phone hanged, hehe.

Hubby told me it's time for a change and he's buying me this as his early Christmas gift. I'm so behind now with the recent technology so I hope I can keep up. However, I got so drained exploring this new phone but I hope I'll get use to this touch screen pad.

But best of all, I wanna say thank you to my hubby for this lovely gift :-)

Online Shopping

I have been browsing some sites online hoping that I will be able to see what I was looking for. I want to buy something for myself and it can only be purchased online, instead, I was brought to another site. However, I got stucked in this site as it offers cheap and trendy big and tall mens clothing. Well, my husband is quite big and tall so I think some clothes here will fit him. The styles are quite unique and this can be hardly found in our local department store. But that's good as I don't want him to wear something that many people are using it also.

I am planning to buy some him some shirts and be giving it to him on Christmas day. I guess he will be happy about this as he likes receiving shirts from me. I am even planning to include a pair of jeans but I am not so sure of his waistline now. I think it is bigger than the previous year, lol. I might try to ask him nonchalantly later for his size and once done, I will go ahead with my transactions online.

I Am Thankful =)

I have many reasons to be thankful because aside from my family, I have friends who are wonderful and generous enough to remember me. Before this month ends, I would like to take this opportunity to the people here and abroad who never fail to remember me. And for those who remembered my birthday, thank you! Those who gave me gifts are greatly appreciated but it's your thought that the really counts.

I am thanking my sister-in-law and my brother who gave me a beautiful birthday gift. It was given a few days after my day. And since they knew me very well, they gave me a 2011 planner. I've always had a planner every year and thanks to them, I now own one =). They also gave me a necklace with a beautiful gift-box shaped pendant. I feel so loved, hehe. Thank you Bogie and Tonypet for this awesome gift!

I also received a keychain from Eleanor. She arrived from Singapore end of December and when we had a mini reunion with the Glee Clubbers, she gave each one of us key chains. Thank you very much for this! Thanks also for sharing to me some blogging tips ;-)

Another person I would like to express my thanks goes to Amy. She came home all the way from Florida to visit her family and she found ways and means to see me, too. She gave me a Victoria Secret perfume, Lever and Dial soaps, blanket for her goddaughter Zoe, goodies for Chloe and she gave to us the beads she got from Mardi gras. Thank you for that Amy but it was really good to see you. I'm happy of where you are right now. I'm happy to see you happy :)

And just yesterday, I received a message from a dear friend, Jess, a former co-worker of mine who is now based in Saudi Arabia. He informed me that he left me 'pasalubong' (gift/souvenir) from our common friend. Hubby got it for me on his way home from the office. Jess knew that I love Toblerone chocolate so he set aside 2 bars for me and 2 Drakkar Noir for my hubby. Well, these people made me happy. Because it's nice to be remembered even though we hardly see each other...

Unique Birthday Gift

When my mom turned 60 years old a few years ago, I remember we celebrated with her at her home and I gave her a simple birthday cake. I couldn't think of anything else to give but right now, there are plenty of things to choose from and is even available online. There are so many beautiful sixtieth birthday gifts for her to give... but I guess I still can give some of these items on her coming birthday, after all, she's still in her 60's.

Candy Gift

My daughter went with her aunt today. She was invited to a birthday party and my sister in law brought her there. I was almost panicky for I have not prepare a gift for the celebrant. Good thing that I stock some candies and goodies. I made it as a candy gift, wrap it with beautiful paper and put it inside the box and it sure look wonderful. I just hope the celebrant will like it. If you want to get an idea about Candy gift, you can visit Shopwiki and you can even shop in there. They offer great products from kids apparel to adult's footwear to music and everything else you can think of. Why don't you go there now?

Thanking My Generous Friends

I'm so blessed to have friends like them!!!

My dear friend Amy (a blogger - Amiable Amy & Business Matters), is very generous. No wonder she is always blessed. She sent me a package thru her mom long time ago. I guess that was still last year. But I don't know their place until we transferred to another house. Her mom and I never crossed paths until today. Her mom was so kind to text me and brought the package for me. I met her this afternoon near my place. So kind of them. Amy dear, thank you so much for always being thoughtful and for counting me as your friend. I am so blessed to have a friend like you! Salamat for the pasalubong ;-)

Victoria Secret lotions - Linger in Luxury (Luv it & I love the smell! hmm...)

Another friend that I would like to thank is not a blogger. Her name is Malou, a nurse and a doctor by profession. She is now based in Illinois. I forgot to post about her Christmas gifts for me last December09. I cannot even find the pics I took of the gifts she gave to my daughter Chloe, Malou's godchild. Chloe loved her gifts that she's using it on special occasions. I shall always be thankful for her and for her generosity. The pictures below were her gifts for me:

Juicy Couture Fleur de lis heart necklace (I likey very much - even the box!)

Kenneth Cole purple wallet (I just love it! So useful, light & love the color...)

Below were Malou's gifts for Chloe (I got the pics from the Internet):

JC Fleur de lis Heart Earring set

JC Cho Cupcake box and Heart necklace (locket)

Even my husband received a gift from her. Whoa! She must be Santa Claus in disguise :D

Kenneth Cole - Reaction wallet w/ key fob

Words are not enough but from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!
