When I was still single, I joined a certain community. In there I was able to develop my skills in singing. They have a band and I was invited to join. I was very happy about it for I was able to join them perform on some occasions. We were dedicated performers that we always find time to practice at least once a week. Good thing that one of the community members had a music studio and allowed us to practice for free. He had a complete set of instruments like the guitar, electric drum, keyboard and microphones. It had been 10 years since I last left the group but my experience with them were unforgettable.

Music In My Mind
I used to be a Glee Club member when I was in college. I love to sing even before I joined the club and being invited to sing in school programs was an honor for me. One time, my co-glee club member and I tried to record a song to be presented at school. We decided to find someone who was keen enough in mixing and recording our songs. We found a very small and simple studio and tried to record it but the result was not impressive yet we continued as we cannot find another affordable studio.
That was years ago and if it only happens now, we would not be that desperate. An online mastering service is all over the net and they are even known for producing quality audio mixing services. I guess it’s because they use excellent equipment. I’ve seen the site and how I wish to be on their studio to record a song. If you also wanted to get their services, just visit http://www.sageaudio.com/. They guarantee customer satisfaction but if you don’t like the result, you will not be obliged to pay. But if you’ve seen the equipment they use, you will not doubt their capability and you know you are in good hands.

Reviews Do Matter
My hubby's a music lover that even at his workplace, he and his office mates formed a band and whenever they have a party, they were always requested to play during intermissions. He played the lead guitar and he said their only problem is the speaker. He is currently checking on outdoor speaker reviews because according to him, other people's opinion also mattered. He might bring it up to his office as soon as he can find a good and affordable one.

Music Is Good For Babies
As I am writing this blog, my baby Zoe is fast asleep while listening to my classical music collection. I always believed that music has a good influence on babies and has a powerful effect on their emotions and intellect. I have researched before that music can affect the way a person thinks and it's possible that babies grow up to be musically-inclined. I've read, too, that when a child is exposed to music earlier, it can help improve their reasoning thus they are good in solving a puzzle. I find it quite true because this is what I've experienced with my eldest daughter, Chloe, who is now 7 years old and is very musically-inclined and not to brag, but quite an achiever at school.
But of course, I don't rely in music only. Encouragement and follow-up matters. We have to motivate our kids so that they will continue in excelling where they're good at. Once we know that they are good in that certain aspect, we don't stop but continue to check on them, praise them and guide them if needed. Music may influenced them but if it's combined with our love, care and understanding, then our kids will have a balance or stable emotions, reasoning and inter-relationship skills.
I am sharing this hoping that other parents or parents-to-be will get something out from my experience. Even when I was pregnant with Chloe and Zoe, I listened to music because I believe babies can hear it while they were still in my tummy. Sometimes, I placed a headphone in my tummy for them to really hear the music that I wanted them to listen.
Just make sure that you don't let your babies listen to noisy or loud music because it might damage their hearing. You can also sing lullabies to the babies because it can somehow soothe them. I also let my kids listen to Psalty's Praise and Worship songs. It's really great for them and they will learn a lot of good things out from that collection since it's a Christian music. I've noticed that Zoe stopped being cranky if 'Amen, Praise the Lord' is being played. Perhaps it's her favorite song =)

Chloe's First Piano Recital
Last May 30, 2010, my daughter Chloe had her first piano recital. All of us were excited to her play and Chloe, of course, loves to be on the stage, hehe. I'm glad she's not timid like me when I was her age. Sharing to you the video of Chloe while she played the Swans on the Lake and The Man in the Moon. To Chloe Alexandra, keep it up! We're proud of you and we will always support you! Love yah!

Beautiful Music, Beautiful Hair
Saw this video at my sister-in-law's blog. Got so awed, moved and touched with the story to think this is only a shampoo commercial. Posted it here in case some of you have not yet seen it. Pachelbel's canon in D major is my all-time favorite classical music, too. I wanna salute the man (or woman?) behind this commercial. I'm clapping my hands right now.

The Climb
I've heard a lot of Miley Cyrus' songs but never really was a fan of her. Not that I dislike this girl but guess I just don't know anything about her - until recently ;-)
Actually, my daughter knew a lot of songs and dance steps from Hannah Montana music because they practiced it at school for their programs.
But I've learned to appreciate Miley's music lately and I particularly like The Climb. It has a nice meaning, too. I guess this girl has a long way to go - but hopefully, she won't end up another one of Hollywood's primadonna stars. Here's The Climb for you. Enjoy the music!

Goodbye Michael
Re-posted picture (@ LA's Walk of Fame)
I've never been a Michael Jackson fan but I have to admit that I admired some of his songs. I've always liked listening to his Man in the Mirror song and songs from his Dangerous album (Heal the World, Black or White & Gone Too Soon). Despite the controversies, I think he contributed a great influence on music to some of the artist today. And who would ever forget his moonwalk dance move? He made it so famous that nobody could emulate (although there were some trying-hard copycats but still failed to impress). Before I slept last night, I read that Charlie's Angel Farah Fawcett died after her long battle of cancer. And just this morning, I was surprised to learn that the King of pop had died. He was 50 years old. The reason was not disclosed at first but now, they said he died due to massive heart attack.
To Michael and Farah (and all the faithful departed), may you rest in peace...

Dance with my Father
"If I could get another chance
Another walk, another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
How I'd love love love to dance with my father again"
Another walk, another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
How I'd love love love to dance with my father again"
I'm not really a sentimental type of person, I don't even cry watching some tear-jerking movies. But there's only one thing that usually breaks my heart - a scene involving a father and a child (a daughter, most especially).
Last Saturday, we attended my cousin's wedding. My husband and I were cord sponsors, Chloe was a flower girl and my mom was a principal sponsor. During their program, my cousin danced with her father with a very beautiful background music that I can't help but got me teary-eyed. The music played was so touching that it somehow broke my heart. I was not able to dance with my father because he already passed away a year before. My last dance with my dad was when I was 18 years old - it was my debut.
Seated beside me at the reception was also another cousin of mine, and my aunt, and we were teasing each other because they were crying, too, haha! Anyway, I was very happy for my cousin because she was happy to see all her loved ones present on her big day.
I researched at the net the next day about that song played at the wedding and I found it! The title was Dance with My Father sang by Luther Vandross. I'm sharing with you the video and the lyrics (and our some of our pics, too) and I insist that you see & listen to the music. You can see some famous personalities in this video, too. The music is really beautiful and the message is so meaningful.

Check Out Nyce Billy
Do you go for hip hop music? If so, you will surely love the songs by the new artist, Nyce Billy. He is a 20-year old rapper born and raised in the Bronx, NY. His interests include basketball, football, and music.
Nyce Billy realized he had a true passion for music and decided that he wanted to become a rap artist. At the age of 16, he and his friends started a rap group called "O D Camp," which stood for Over Due. He was known as "Young Nyce" at that time.

But the group disbanded after two years and everyone decided to go on their separate ways. Young Nyce became known as "Nyce Billy." With this new image, he got to work and completed several songs on his own. The song that helped Nyce Billy to establish a true fan base was "You Madd," featuring Jae Millz.
Nyce Billy won first place at the Faces in the Crows Showcase that gained him some respect and international recognition. And recently, he has just signed under Everything to Gain Entertainment out of NYC. And his single “Pour On the Floor” is blowing up in clubs and soon on your radio. Check out Nyce Billy's page and hear his music, too, at myspace.

Itazura Na Kiss Music
I wrote in my blog before that I went crazy over one Anime series titled Itazura Na Kiss. I've never been an anime lover but everything changed when I've watched that show September of 2008 and even posted an entry about it in my blog.
I also love their soundtrack especially the music in their end credits, Jikan yo Tomare, which was performed by Azu. I really researched the music video of that song and I finally found it! And even though I don't understand Japanese language (I only knew some words or phrases), I still love the song and even tried to learn the lyrics, too, hehehe. I found the music so catchy and I so love the beat.
Below is their music video for you to see. Enjoy listening!
