Silver Medal For Math Quiz Bee

Would like to congratulate my eldest daughter, Chloe, for placing 2nd in their Math Quiz Bee held this afternoon at their school. She got Silver Medal for this contest.

I usually attend my child's competition at school but today I wasn't able to because I have prior commitment. Good thing that Chloe understood. But by God's grace she won and I was so proud of what she has achieved. Thank You Lord for the blessing, thank You Lord for guiding Chloe and for being there for her always.

And to my dear daughter Chloe, Thank you for everything. Always know that I am sooo proud of you. Continue to study hard and pray always to God. I love you anak!

Exam's Over!

I am so glad my daughter's second quarter exam is now over. She arrived home early today and was also happy that her exam's finished so that she can do "whatever she wants to do". Right now, she's at our living room, watching Smurf on TV. She told me that she will use my laptop later because I also promised her that.. sigh (okay, fine). But I will let her ~ but with limit, of course.

Like every mom, I am proud with my daughter. But still during exams, I reviewed with her to make sure she really understood her lesson. But am amazed that she can recall her lessons very well, even with the minute details. Sometimes, I worry that she might forget it. But she always assured me not to worry and that she's always excited for the exam. Yet I told her not to be overconfident =)

So far, her difficult subject is Filipino. It's hard for her to understand Tagalog right away. It's because she speaks English at home while me and her dad speaks Visayan and that's all she knew. So, I sometimes translate Tagalog into English or Visayan (or Bisaya). But when I received her test paper for Filipino, she usually got only 1 or 2 (or sometimes 3) mistakes. I told her that it's okay. I don't want her to become perfectionist also although that's what she's aiming. As long as she understands and passed the test, it's fine with me. But I have to admit that deep inside, I am jumping for joy when I see her straight A's on the report card.

I am just glad for her. Her achievements meant that I did something good, too, hehe. It's a reward to me. I never received a medal during my school days so what my daughter achieved now is more than just a medal or a trophy to me (",)

Happy Occasion

I posted some pictures in my other blog. Anyways, last March 29, 2011 was Chloe's Recognition day at her school. She got Gold Medal and I made sure to attend her important day. I was very happy with what my daughter achieved. And next school year, she will be in Grade 2.

Chloe and me while waiting for their program to start. I wore my favorite color red for this happy occasion =)

My New Year's Resolution & You Make My Day

At the start of the year, we always love to make a long list of New Year's resolution. A New Year's resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project that is generally interpreted as advantageous. I don't know if I could keep up with the things I listed below but at least I will try to do it. Anyways, I got this tag from these 3 pretty ladies: Donabel, Maria, Demcy and Amy (and I guess there's more to come, hehe).

The rules: Once you’ve been tagged by someone, share your 12 top list New Year's Resolutions and then tag other people to post their own lists, too. Ok, here's my list:

1. Practice self-confidence
2. Be patient
3. Be optimistic
4. Sleep early at night
5. Wake up early in the morning
6. Control temper, hehe
7. Always look at the bright side
8. Be more understanding
9. Face the challenge
10. Learn to accept mistakes
11. Read knowledgeable books, haha
12. Don't procrastinate

And how would you feel if somebody would tell you that 'You Make My Day'? Cool, isn't it? Cecile included me in her tag and she sure made my day every time she visited my blog! Thank you, Ces, for being so thoughtful!
I am sharing these awards to Ane, Kringle, Dharlz, Bogie and all the people in my bloglist and other bloggers out there, too. Your visits always make my day!!!

Gift, Laugh and Love

Days before Christmas, I posted here that my husband sprained his ankle badly. He took a leave from work and spent most of his time recovering at home. So on Christmas Day, he told me he would have to take a rain check on his Christmas gift for me. I didn't think much about it anymore because what was more important was his health. Well, lately he was able to walk without his crutches and since he was so bored at home, he wanted for us to go out, with me driving the car, of course. We went to a store and told me he would buy the thing that he promised me...
That's a scanner, all right, hehe. It's a Canon LIDE-100.

I actually have so many memorable pictures that I wanted to post. The problem was, those pictures were taken before the digital era, hehe. Well, thanks, hubby, for this wonderful gift and I do promise to take good care of it ;)

Well, this is also an opportunity for me to scan and post the Laughing Stock of the Day meme that Niko and Kikamz tagged me before. Since I went to my mom's place, I took one of my old pics. I don't know if this is considered a Fun picture... I think it's more of a weird picture because my daughter did not recognize me on it. This was taken in Butuan City and I guess I was still 12 years at the time it was taken. :)
And oh, speaking of meme, I am posting Spread The Love Award, too.

This is from Cecile of Small and Simple things. Sorry, it took me a long time to post this, hehe. In fact, I digged it up from her old post, looking from one blog to another until I finally found it, hehehe. Well, I am Spreading The Love Award to all of you! You can grab and spread it to others, too..Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Hubby List Award

I've been tagged by the pretty in love ladies, Rose, Demcy and Kikamz, and now it's my turn to post this one ;) Sorry, it took me time to post because I was looking for our good-ol-pic, hehehe..

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby?

Yep, Uhuh

When was that?

We were introduced last week of May. But we were not friends yet. I was busy minding my own business and he was busy minding his own, too

First impression.

Snobbish, shy, fair-skinned and nice-looking fella ;)
Were you friends before he became your bf?
Not really. As I've said, we were introduced by May but that was all.
We got to Really say Hi by August.
He took notice of me and I took notice of him by end of September.
Middle of October, we got to talk a lot.
Early November, he asked for a date ~ twice.
And by our second date, we were officially a couple :)
I posted our story before, click here to read it

What was the sweetest thing he did for you?

Sent me flowers and chocolates on Valentine's Day
Never forgot important events in my life
What are the things about him that you are thankful for?

He adores me
He loves me and Chloe
He provides our needs
He supports my decision
He doesn't have any vices..
well, except his computer and playing his PSP and PS
:)

*Now the rules are simple. 1. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers. 2. Another pic now that you are together post it after the questions. 3. Share to how many friends you like. 4. Enjoy doing it c: 5. Let your hubby read it too c:
Now, I'm going to pass this award to my sisters-in-law and bloggers at the same time: Bogie, Anna and Kringle and blogger friends Luv and Ane

Wonder Woman Award

When I am not blogging, I'm usually tied up with my wifely and motherly duties. I used to be an office worker before but when I stopped working, I got married and soon gave birth to my daughter. Few months after, I went back to school, took another course and finished it after 3 years. But, as of the moment, I am a SAHM and proud to be a Sahm! It's actually the most difficult and challenging job but things paid off when you can see the result of your labor of love. And despite our very tiresome job, at least, we own our time and we're the 'boss' at home! wehehe.

Anyways, Soul Anchor made this set for me at Polyvore. Wow! I finally got an award that was specially made for a Wonder Mom Like me. I'm so honored (with eyes closed)... and I think I deserved it, hehehe ;) At least, somebody recognized my talent.

Thank you so much, my dear friend. You're a Wonder Woman, too!

May all strength be upon us!!

And to all wonder bloggers out there, just feel free to grab the award. And please do visit BookLovers'Charm @ Polyvore to see for more sets or designs.
