My Halloween Escapade

I think I posted these pictures a very long time ago but am going to post it again coz I almost forgot all about these! I thought I didn't get the chance to celebrate Halloween but here I was, having a Halloween blast at L.A.'s Universal Studios. Gosh, this was eons ago but it seems like yesterday!

Halloween was not popularly celebrated in the Philippines until recently. It seems that the people are now enjoying this event. I've noticed that not only the kids wanted to wear their costumes but adults as well. Next year I might join my kids doing trick or treat at the mall (",)

I've the chance to meet Edward Cullen's gramps.. and he almost bit me.. :p)

Trick or Treat!

This is a picture of us having a Halloween Fun Night at home. My mom, my brother and sister in law were also there and Chloe had fun doing her trick or treat. Baby Zoe didn't understand yet the whole scenario so I just borrowed Chloe's old wizardress hat and use it for Zoe.

Chloe donned her vampire attire that she had been using it before. The funny thing was, the little vampire had no fang as she's toothless, hehe. I found our old orange hat so I became the mommy witch.

I hope you had a great Halloween in there. I bet your kids enjoyed doing their Trick or Treat.

Halloween Costume

My daughter had been telling me since last month to host a Halloween party at home. We don't actually celebrate Halloween but I guess I might give in to her this time just for fun. My daughter wanted to wear a Bird costume while her grandfather decided to be a pumpkin. As for myself, I cannot decide on what to wear. But for a change, I might end up wearing the Snooki costume to surprise everyone. After all, I am allowed to wear anything on this day, even outrageous ones, right?

Snooki costume is actually nice but it looks very sexy on me. People are used to see me wearing ragged or casual attire. But when I tried to check it on the net, the costume was okay. In fact, I was quite eager in wearing this leopard printed mini dress. Perhaps I will just put an accent on the top part so that I can wear it very comfortably. But what is nice about this costume is that I can use this in other social functions if ever I get invited.

Halloween Month

It's already October, the 10th month of the year. My 2 older brothers, my sister-in-law, my cousins and an uncle are celebrating their birthdays this month. I'm also thinking of Halloween every time this month arrives. When Chloe was in pre-school, she enjoyed celebrating Halloween with her teachers and classmates. Now, I don't know what's in store at their school. They didn't say anything. All I know is that they are to celebrate United Nations Day on the 24th.

Talking about Halloween, I was too surprised to see Chloe's English test result. Her teacher marked her answer wrong to think it was right. The question was: "Halloween comes in______" wherein she would write the correct month. Chloe answered October and her teacher crossed it out and put her own answer which was November. Huh? Perhaps it was an honest mistake but I won't let this escape her. Chloe could've gotten perfect but because of that, she got 1 mistake. Hey, 1 mistake is okay with me, it's a great score already! But giving the students the wrong answer is not okay with me. Her teacher needs to be corrected.

Being the stage mother as I am (^_^), I wrote her English teacher a letter instead (since I cannot go to Chloe's school easily as I used to because of the baby). I requested politely to review my daughter's paper and at the same time, corrected the error she made. I also attached the researched I made on the internet. And for your information, that was the 2nd time I wrote her a letter because she also marked Chloe's answer wrong in her book even though it was correct.

I know we are just humans bound to commit mistakes but sometimes, we should be extra careful especially if we are teachers in a school known for its good reputation. If the teacher they hire is not always careful, then their reputation might be marred just because of ones carelessness.

Halloween Week

It's already November and how time flies so fast! And I can't believe that Christmas is even on the way. But before I talk about that, let me share to you our activities last week. Tuesday of last week, my daughter Chloe had their Halloween fun day at school and I have (need!) to be there. She donned again her Tinker Bell Costume because she wanted to be a fairy. My little fairy had fun and so far, had the best time of her life. She was requested by her teacher to sing Taylor Swift's Love Story (her teacher just asked her to practice the 2 days before the program!) which, I was glad, she memorized it right away! ;-)

Saturday of last week, Chloe joined again McDonald's Halloween fun day together with her cousin. This time, she donned her vampire costume (she wore it last year) and glad that my husband helped me with the make-up! hehehe... Well, he knew the vampire-look better than I! Chloe's cousin wore a pumpkin monster costume. Both kids enjoyed the fun and received lots of prizes ;-)

Sunday, November 1, my mom, 2 brothers and their wives and kid and my family visited my dad's grave at the cemetery. We stayed there for more than 2 hours because we arrived very late in the afternoon already. My family always make it a point to gather there on November 1st. I hope you had a good week, too! (more pics will be posted soon at Chloe's blog)
