Mom's Coming

My mom will be arriving today from Manila and my daughter is excited to see her. She's been in Manila for about a month and Chloe just missed her. They are close to each other and my daughter is kind of spoiled to her grandma.

My brother's going to pick her up and anytime now she will arrive from the airport. Perhaps she will drop by our place first before proceeding to her place and that's why Chloe's taking her afternoon nap right now, hoping that when wakes up, she will see her Mama Bie :-)

40th Anniversary

If my dad were still alive today, it would have been his and my mom's 40th wedding anniversary. But he passed away almost 10 years ago. It would've been great to see my parents renewed their vows and we, their children and grandchildren, witness their pledge of love. Despite my dad's absence, I greeted my mom a happy wedding anniversary. I'm sure my mom missed him but life goes on. We're just too glad that my mom's still around with us...

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today, May 12, is my Mom's birthday. I want to thank her of so many things... Actually, I can't thank her enough of the things she has done for me and my brothers. She's always there to guide and protect us. Despite our shortcomings, she's still there, waiting for us and with open arms, accepted us.
Anyway, thank you, Mommy, for everything. I know I am not a perfect daughter but I have always loved and respected you. I know my brothers feel the same way, too, and we thank the Lord for giving us a mother like you. You are a blessing to us. Thank you also for your generosity and understanding. We pray that the Lord will give you more years to celebrate as we want to spend more time with you. And today, we wish you good health, more blessings to come and may you have a happy and memorable birthday today! We Love You!

Cherished Mother
Every day since I was born,
My mother cared for me.
Now that’s a lot of caring,
As anyone can see.
Please, Lord, protect my mother,
And keep her safe from harm,
For she is a cherished person,
With great wisdom, love and charm.
Lord, it’s my mother’s birthday
So please, help her to see
Just how much she means to us,
Her loving family.

Awesome Mum Poem

Before I was a Mum,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mum,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mum,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mum,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her/him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mum.

Before I was a Mum,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.....
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mum,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mum.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mum .

Best Mom

I got this beautiful award from Chubskulit of Rose's Obstacles and Glories. Thank you for considering me as one. Being a mom is my greatest occupation and it is very fulfilling. I thank God for giving me Chloe and I pray that I will be able to instill in her good values and proper decorum. And I hope she will not get my negative traits, too.

The rules: 1. Show the award logo in your post. 2. Pick a picture you have with your kiddo(s). 3. Post should include your best experience as a Mom. 3. Nominate other blogger mom's out there that you consider the best mom, like yourself.

Passing this award to all Kikamz, Ane, Anna, Dharlz, Luv2x and all mommy-bloggers out there. You all deserve this award!
