Divine Mercy Statue

Divine Mercy - Famous for it's 3 o'clock Habit

When my aunt and cousin from Manila had their vacation in our place, we brought them to El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, to visit the Divine Mercy. We arrived there at exactly 12 noon so, imagine the heat of the sun and how hot it really was!

The last time I visited this place was more than 2 years ago and only the head of the statue was finished. The Divine Mercy statue is about 50 feet tall and you have to take several steps before you reach the top. You can also see a life size statue of the Virgin Mary beside the Divine Mercy.

When we arrived in there, I was surprise to see many people for I thought we were the only ones - at 12 noon. I've realized that there was another way for people to pass. We stayed in there for awhile, made a prayer before we went home.

50 feet tall, wow! The statue looks really wonderful and the place looks well maintained. I'm sure this is a really special place and will be one of the best tourist spots.
